Worley noise (also Cell Noise ) is a cellular texture- based function that was introduced by Steven Worley in 1996 .

It is used in computer graphics to simulate textures such as stone or water surfaces.

algorithm

  • Create random points in space;
  • the noise function is the distance from the nearest point.
