Woryeonggyo ( 월영교 , also Weolyeonggyo , 'moonlight bridge ') is the longest pedestrian bridge in South Korea at 387 meters and crosses the Nakdong River on the outskirts of the city of Andong . The bridge was built largely from pine wood . Construction work on the bridge began on October 29, 2001. It was finally opened on April 19, 2003.

The valley that was there before it was flooded for the Andong reservoir was called Dalgol ('moon valley') and near the river was the village of Eumdalgol .
