Wrona Buttress ( Polish Urwisko Wrony , Wrona-Kliff ' ) is a 100 m high cliff at the eastern end of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It towers northeast of Melville Peak above Gazdzicki Sound .
Polish scientists named it in 1984 after the paleontologist Ryszard Wrona, a participant in the Polish Antarctic expedition that ran from 1980 to 1981.
