A Wulstbruch (also Torusfraktur ) is - similar to the green wood fracture  - an incomplete fracture in which the bone skin (periosteum) usually remains intact.

This type of fracture occurs mainly in the long bones ( radius) , shin (tibia), thigh (femur) ) or in the collarbone (clavicle) while these bones are still growing. By compressing the bone at the fracture point, it thickens like a bulge, hence the name.

Other meanings

A bead break can also occur with tires, which means when the bead of the tire (the part of the tire that rests on the rim) breaks, i.e. the wire cores used in the tire bead are (partially) broken.
