Brief description Holland profiles
Latest edition 1996-12

The Holland profile (form letter  HP ) is a flat steel profile with a thickening on the edge of a flat side. This thickening (bead) runs over the entire length of the profile. Because of the bead, the Holland profile is also known as a bead profile or flat bead steel .

The Holland profile is one of the hot-rolled profiles and is preferably used in shipbuilding in the steel grades prescribed for it. The (withdrawn) dimension standard DIN  1019 contains 40 dimensions from 80 mm to 430 mm wide and 6 mm to 17 mm thick; the currently valid standard is EN  10067 .
