Wuzhizhou ( Chinese 蜈支洲岛 , Pinyin Wúzhīzhōu Dǎo ) is a small island in the south of China and belongs to the Hainan Province . It is located 3 km southeast of the main island of Hainan and 30 km from the city of Sanya .
The island has an area of 1.48 km² and a coastline of 5.7 km. The highest mountain in the middle of the island rises up to 79 m above sea level.
Wuzhizhou is developed for tourism and is known as a bathing and adventure resort. Many travelers come there for boating and diving.
