The Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan , shortly ADCU , is a private Roman Catholic University in Cagayan de Oro , Philippines. It is run by Jesuits .
It was founded on June 7, 1993 by the later Bishop and Archbishop of Cagayan de Oro James TG Hayes . It is named after the Jesuit missionary Francisco de Xavier .
