Xeyes
xeyes is a graphic computer program that shows two googly eyes on the screen that follow the movements of the mouse pointer as if they were watching it. The manual page of the X Window System , according to the program was originally developed by Jeremy Huxtable for the NeWS written system in 1988 and on the SIGGRAPH presents conference. It was then ported to X11 by Keith Packard . It owes its popularity to the fact that in many installations it runs automatically when the graphical user interface is started.
Many similar programs have been developed for X and other systems such as Windows and Java .
The xeyes manual page usually jokingly claims that the program reports user activities to an unspecified "boss".
