Xhavit Haliti
Xhavit Haliti (born March 8, 1956 in Novo Selo near Peja , Kosovo , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a Kosovar politician and one of the founders of the UÇK . Today he is a member of the Democratic Party of Kosovo .
Life
He was in political detention and moved to Switzerland . From time to time Xhavit Haliti traveled from Switzerland to Albania . Meetings with the leaders of the UÇK guerrilla group , Albanian government representatives and foreign diplomats took place there. He had direct and indirect contact with superiors of the UÇK, especially with their coordinator in Kosovo, Nait Hasani . In the Kosovo war, he supported and coordinated the UÇK units with regular supplies of raw materials. He was appointed a member of the delegation at the Rambouillet , France conference .
