Xiangtangshan Grottoes

Xiangtangshan Grottoes ( Chinese  响 堂 山 石窟 , Pinyin Xiǎngtángshān Shíkū , English Xiangtangshan Grottoes ) is a collective name for several Buddhist cave temples in Handan邯郸, Hebei Province, China, from the time of the Eastern Wei and Northern Qi to the Yuan Dynasties . The earliest were dug in the Gao Yang (550-559) reign of Emperor Wenxuan of the Northern Qi Dynasty , with later additions. In the rock caves of the three sites of Nanxiangtang南 响 堂, Beixiangtang北 响 堂 and Xiaoxiangtang小 响 堂, important Buddhist sculptures have been preserved.

Since 1961, the sites of the Xiangtangshan Grottoes have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China in Hebei (1-40).
