Xin'e

The "community Xin'e the Oroqen " ( Chinese  新鄂鄂伦春族乡 , Pinyin Xin'e Èlúnchūnzú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the county Xunke the prefecture-level city of Heihe in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang . Xin'e has an area of ​​7561.2 km², of which 5298 km² is forest of the Little Hinggan Mountains , and around 1900 inhabitants (end of 2009). The community was founded in 1956 and was given the name "Xin'e" ("New Oroqen") to document the settling of the Oroqen, who until then had lived from the wandering hunt.

Oroqen

About 23% of the residents of Xin'e are Oroqen . The community is one of the traditional settlement areas of the Birarqen (Birartschen), a subgroup of the Oroqen. The Oroqen are - next to the Evenks - one of the two northern Tungusian peoples of China.

Administrative structure

Xin'e is made up of five villages. These are:

  • Xin'e village of the Oroqen (新 鄂 鄂伦春 族 村), center, seat of the municipal government;
  • Puluokouzi village (浦 洛 口子 村);
  • Village Xinchun (新春村);
  • Xinhua Village (新华 村);
  • Xinmin Village (新民 村).
