Xinxing (Xunke)

The "community Xinxing the Oroqen " ( Chinese  新兴鄂伦春族乡 , Pinyin Xinxing Èlúnchūnzú Xiang ) is a nationality community in the county Xunke the prefecture-level city of Heihe in the northeastern Chinese province of Heilongjiang . Xin E has an area of ​​389 km² and 1,422 inhabitants (end of 2009), of which around 16% are Oroqen. The community on the northern slope of the Little Hinggan Mountains was founded in 1956 to enable the Oroqen, who until then had lived from wandering hunting, to settle down.

Oroqen

The community is one of the traditional settlement areas of the Birarqen (Birartschen), a subgroup of the Oroqen. The Oroqen are - next to the Evenks - one of the two northern Tungusian peoples of China.

Administrative structure

Xinxing is made up of five villages. These are:

  • Xinxing Village of the Oroqen (新兴 鄂伦春 族 村), center, seat of the local government;
  • Xincheng Village (新城 村);
  • Xinhe Village (新 河村);
  • Xinjian Village (新建 村);
  • Xinling Village (新 岭村).
