Xinyi ( 新沂 市 , Xīnyí Shì ) is an east Chinese urban district in the district-free city of Xuzhou in northern Jiangsu Province . It has an area of ​​1,571 km² and has 960,000 inhabitants.

The Neolithic Huating site (Huating yizhi 花厅 遗址) of the Dawenkou culture has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-72) since 2006 .
