Xiuying Fort
The Xiuying Fort or the Xiuying forts ( 秀英炮台 , Xiuying Paotai ) on the Haixiu street of the district Xiuying of Haikou in China's island province of Hainan were in 1890 after the French Chinese-war during the period of the late Qing Dynasty built to defend the southeast corner of China. The five large gun batteries are still intact today.
The complex has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-1031) since 2006 .
