The Xorazm futbol klubi (abbreviated Xorazm FK ) is the largest football club from the Uzbek province of Xorazm .
The team plays its home games in the 25,000-seat Xorazm sportmajmuasi in Urganch .
history
The team was founded in 1972 as FK Yangiaryk and appeared with numerous name changes in 1994 for the first time as FK Xorazm . In the last years of the Soviet Union, the club played in the third-rate Wtoraja League . In 1994 the club went into the second-rate Birinchi League in the Uzbek league and in 1995 made it to the top division of the country for the first time . After two relegations and promotions, Xorazm played first class for the last time in the 2010 season and has been active in the Birinchi League since 2011.
