Xugezhuang is a former village ( Chinese  胥 各莊  /  胥 各庄 , Pinyin Xūgèzhuāng ) and a modern large community (胥 各庄) (镇), ( Xūgèzhuāng Zhèn ) in the Fengnan District in Hebei , China .

The place was one of the endpoints of the second railway that was built after the Wusung Railway in Shanghai . The almost 9 km long Kaiping Tramway was put into operation in 1881 and ran from the mines near Tangshan to Xugezhuang (then Hsuokochuang ). There was a canal connection to Lutai and thus to the river network between Beijing and Tianjin .
