criticism

Xunlei uses P2P techniques to speed up downloads. By default, it examines all files on the computer and offers them for download via the Xunlei network.

The program's standard search page sends its users to websites that contain viruses and Trojans . Xunlei itself also installs files that many virus scanners accept as a threat.

Xunlei is cross-financed with advertising and pop-ups ( adware ). Advertising can be switched off.

Uninstalling does not remove all files. In particular, add-ons in browsers are not deleted.
