Yōko Minamino

Yōko Minamino ( Japanese 南 野 陽 子 Minamino Yōko ; born June 23, 1967 in Itami , Hyōgo Prefecture ) is a Japanese singer and actress.

biography

At the age of six she took ballet and piano lessons .

Since 1984, Minamino has appeared in multiple interviews and photo shoots in Shueisha's Weekly Playboy magazine. In the August 1, 1989 issue, she even appeared on the cover of the magazine.

In 1985 she made her debut as a photo model in No. 13 of the magazine "DELUXE". On June 23 of the same year she also made her debut as a singer with the song " Hazukashi sugite ". Their songs can be assigned to J-Pop or the much more common term in Japan of Idol Music .

Her big breakthrough as an actress was in November 1985 when she took on the lead role in the second season of the action television series Sukeban Deka , a film adaptation of a manga template. For the Sukeban Deka film, she received the Japanese Academy Award for Best Young Actress in 1988 . In 1993 she could hope for another Japanese Academy Award for her portrayal in the two films Kantsubaki and Watashi o daite soshite kisu shite , this time for Best Actress , but Yoshiko Mita ( Toki rakujitsu ) had to admit defeat.

Between 1985 and the early 1990s, she had numerous top hits in the Japanese charts, such as " Kaze no Madrigal ", " Rakuen no Door " or " Haikarasan ga tooru ".

Yōko "Nanno" Minamino is one of the top Japanese idols of the 1980s.
