Yūki Itō (cellist)

Yūki Itō ( Japanese 伊藤 悠 貴 , Itō Yūki ) is a classical cellist from Japan.

biography

Itō made his international debut as solo cellist in a performance of Antonín Dvořák's Cello Concerto by the Philharmonia Orchestra London at Windsor Castle . Since then he has performed with the Seiji Ozawa Festival Ensemble (Saito Kinen Orchestra members), the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra and the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra as well as artists such as Seiji Ozawa, Vladimir Ashkenazy , David Geringas and Julian Lloyd Webber .

His debut album " Sergei Rachmaninov Complete Cello Works" with pianist Sofya Gulyak was released in October 2012.

In 2016, he gave a concert on the 120th anniversary of the birth of Japanese author Kenji Miyazawa , in commemoration of NHK Japan's worldwide broadcast.
