YIUP is an artist group founded in Düsseldorf in 1969 .

It consisted of the artists Peter Angermann , Robert Hartmann , Hans Heininger, Hans Henin and Hans Rogalla , who studied with Joseph Beuys as students at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and who dealt critically with his art and teaching. In their actions, they took Beuys' “ expansion of the concept of art ” to extremes and in this way demonstrated drastically that expanding a concept in general does not serve to improve it.
