Ya'akov Rubinstein ( Hebrew יעקב רובינשטיין) is an Israeli violinist . He has been giving concerts in Europe, Israel, Japan, China and America since he was seven.

Musical education

As a student at the Jerusalem Music Center, he received lessons from Isaac Stern and Yehudi Menuhin, among others . After taking lessons from violin teacher Ilona Feher , he studied in Frankfurt am Main with Edith Peinemann and then added her to the Manhattan School of Music with Glenn Dicterow, concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic. In addition to several awards and prizes, he has received grants from the Chautauqua Music Festival, the Manhattan School of Music and the American Cultural Foundation.

Concert activity

He has appeared as a soloist with various ensembles, including the Bamberg Symphony , the Kurpfälzisches Kammerorchester , Mannheim, the Chursächsische Philharmonie , the Philharmonic State Orchestra Halle , the youth orchestra of the Basel Regio, the Israel Chamber Orchestra , the Holon Chamber Orchestra, Ashdod Chamber Orchestra, Haifa Symphony Orchestra and the Leningrad Chamber Orchestra. He played recitals in Israel, Brazil, France, Denmark, Italy, Switzerland, Germany and the USA.

From 1995 to the end of 2009, Ya'akov Rubinstein was the first concertmaster of the Bamberg Symphony. In addition to this activity, he is very committed to Jewish music and the maintenance of historical performance practice.

In recent years Ya'akov Rubinstein has been a guest at BR Munich, WDR Cologne, NDR Hanover, in Madrid, Oslo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Japan, Israel and Brazil. In addition to these engagements, Ya'akov Rubinstein was also active as a director of various ensembles.
