The marina of the Italian city ​​of Taranto is located in the ancient center of the place, at the wharfs of Sant'Eligio on the Gulf of Taranto (Mar Grande) .

The port, which is geared towards recreational shipping, has 250 berths and has a quay with a slip device , fixed and floating jetties, maintenance and repair workshops and a petrol station, and other facilities such as reception and restaurants. The attraction of the port lies in its historically, archaeologically and architecturally interesting surroundings and the varied range of leisure activities.

For many centuries the commercial port of Taranto was located at the site of today's marina, which was then expanded in a westerly direction from 1968 to become the industrial port of Taranto .
