David Etxebarria
David Etxebarria Alkorta (born July 23, 1973 in Abandiño ) is a former Spanish cyclist .
Etxebarria turned pro at ONCE in 1994 , where he drove for seven years. He then moved to Euskaltel-Euskadi before moving to Liberty Seguros in 2005 and ending his career in 2006. In 1996 he won the Tour de l'Avenir , in which only riders under the age of 25 are allowed to participate. In the 1997 Tour de Suisse , he won the sixth stage. Two years later, Etxebarria celebrated its greatest successes. He won two stages in the 1999 Tour de France and finished it in twelfth place.
David Etxebarria is not related to his namesake Unai Etxebarria from Venezuela.
