The Yaka sword is an African sword . African swords were developed and used in different countries and by different ethnic groups in Africa as weapons of war, hunting, culture and class. The respective designation of the weapon refers to a variant of this weapon type that is assigned to a certain ethnic group .

The Yaka sword has a double-edged blade. The blade starts narrow at the handle and widens towards the location . The place is rounded. A wide hollow grind (wrongly blood groove ) runs almost the entire length of the blade. The handle is made of wood and carved in a traditional pattern. The pommel is made of iron and is thorn-shaped. The Yaka sword is used by the Yaka and Suku ethnic groups .
