Yan Yujiang

Yan Yujiang ( Chinese  阎玉江 , * 1953 ) is a former Chinese badminton player .

Career

Yan Yujiang became the Chinese national champion in 1977, beating Chen Tianlong in the final. Two years later he won gold in men's singles at the 1979 Chinese national games . In the final he defeated Han Jian .

As a coach, he produced other top athletes: Yang Yang (world champion 1987 and 1989), Zhao Jianhua (world champion 1991), Pan Li (Asian champion women's doubles 1992; current Chinese national coach for women's doubles) and Dong Jiong (world number one and Olympic second in 1996).
