Empress mother Yang Huiyu ( Chinese  羊 徽 瑜 ), formally Empress Jingxian ( Chinese  景 獻 皇后  - "decisive and wise empress"), semi- formally empress mother Hongxun ( Chinese  弘 訓 太后 , * 214 ; † 278 ), was an empress mother of the Jin dynasty . She was the third wife of the Wei regent Sima Shi . Her father Yang Chai ( Chinese  羊 茝 ) was the governor of a commandant's office. Her mother Cai Wenji , a famous musician and daughter of the famous Han musician Cai Yong . Her brother was the famous General Yang Hu .

Like all his wives and concubines, she did not bear a son to Sima Shi. After his death (255), his brother Sima Zhao became regent. After his death (265), his son Sima Yan forced the Wei emperor Cao Huan to abdicate in his favor. He ended the Wei Dynasty and founded the Jin Dynasty as Emperor Wu. To honor his uncle's achievements, he made Yang Huiyu Empress Mother in 266 and let her move into the Hongxun Palace. Hence her semi-formal title of Empress Hongxun . It was allegedly thanks to her that Emperor Wu also honored Sima Shi's first wife Xiahou Hui ( Chinese  夏侯 徽 ) as Empress Jinghuai . Yang Huiyu died in 278 and was buried with her husband Sima Shi with the honors due to an empress.
