The Yangpu Bridge ( Chinese  楊浦 大橋  /  杨浦 大桥 , Pinyin Yángpu Dàqiáo ) is a road bridge in Shanghai , China .

The bridge has six lanes and two walkways that serve as a viewing platform. It crosses the Huangpu River in the course of the Inner Ring Road at a height of 49 m and connects the districts of Yangpu and Pudong . The cable-stayed bridge is 1172 m long and 30.35 m wide without the connecting elevated roads . Its main opening has a span of 602 m, which is followed by bridges of 144 m and 99 m on both sides. Your two pylonsin the shape of an upside down Y are 223 m high, of which 167 m are above the bridge deck. The stay cables are stretched from the central stem of the pylon to the outside of the deck girder. The carriageway girder consists of two steel box girders, which are connected with crossbars made of double-T girders . A precast concrete slab was placed on top, which was connected to the steel grating using in-situ concrete.

The bridge was the Shanghai Municipal Engineering Design Institute , Shanghai Urban Construction College , and the Shanghai Urban Construction Design Institute with the support of Holger S. Svensson from the engineering firm of Fritz Leonhardt designed and in the years 1991 to 1993 by Shanghai Huangpu River Bridge Engineering Construction built .
