Yangzi Jiang is in Chinese usage the name for the lower reaches of the Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) from the cities of Yizheng and Yangzhou downwards. In non-Chinese usage, Yangzi Jiang can also be found as a general term for the river in its entire length. The traditional German name Jangtsekiang is derived from him, while Chang Jiang is the official name in Chinese.
