Yanjing beer ( Chinese  燕京 啤酒 , Pinyin Yānjīng Píjiǔ ) is a beer brand and brewery from the Shunyi district in Beijing and the national brewery of the People's Republic of China .

Yanjing beer is a malty lager beer that sits lightly on the tongue . Its name comes from the earlier name for Beijing, which was in use from the fifth to the third century BC. It was first brewed in 1980. The beer is exported to Austria, Germany, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, the USA, etc., among others.

It is a large beer manufacturer in China with 20,000 employees.
