Yanjing beer ( Chinese 燕京 啤酒 , Pinyin Yānjīng Píjiǔ ) is a beer brand and brewery from the Shunyi district in Beijing and the national brewery of the People's Republic of China .
Yanjing beer is a malty lager beer that sits lightly on the tongue . Its name comes from the earlier name for Beijing, which was in use from the fifth to the third century BC. It was first brewed in 1980. The beer is exported to Austria, Germany, Australia, Japan, the United Kingdom, the USA, etc., among others.

The brewery was one of the main sponsors of the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Today the area of the brewery covers over 2,220,000 m². It is a large beer manufacturer in China with 20,000 employees. Every year, over 50 million hectoliters of beer are produced using the latest German brewing technology and from Canadian and Australian grain. The Beijing Yanjing Beer Company is one of the ten largest brewery groups in the world.
