Yantin-hamu

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Yantin-hamu was a king of Byblos around 1750 BC. BC , mentioned on clay tablets found in the Mari archives . He was thus a contemporary of Zimri-Lim from Mari and Hammurabi from Babylon . A ruler of Byblos in the Egyptian-hieroglyhic spelling Inten is also named on a relief from Byblos and is known from various seals. On the relief he appears together with the Egyptian king Neferhotep I. Assuming that Inten and Yantin-hamu written in cuneiform are identical, the earliest synchronicity between Egypt and Mesopotamia results from this ruler .
