Yaprak Dökümü , in English falling leaves or throwing off the leaves , is a novel by the Turkish writer Reşat Nuri Güntekin from 1939.

The novel describes the breakup of a family in the then newly founded Republic of Turkey . The effects of the state-decreed westernization of the country on the individual run through the whole story. The series

A modern remake for television, which represents the novel in today's world, ran successfully on the Turkish private broadcaster Kanal D between 2006 and 2010 . This series was not entirely made into a film based on the book. B. There are some characters in the series that do not exist in the book.
