The novel describes the breakup of a family in the then newly founded Republic of Turkey . The series
A modern remake for television, which represents the novel in today's world, ran successfully on the Turkish private broadcaster Kanal D between 2006 and 2010 . This series was not entirely made into a film based on the book. B. There are some characters in the series that do not exist in the book. The series should actually consist of three seasons, but due to its great success, the channel Kanal D extended the series by two more seasons. Yaprak Dökümü is the only Turkish drama series that has 5 seasons (175 episodes). In addition, the series has also won the most awards (21, including Best Series 2008).
