Yas ( Persian یاس, real name Yaser Bakhtiari , Persian یاسر بختیاری; * 1982 in Tehran ) is an Iranian rapper. He is the first rapper to be authorized by the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran and is very popular in his home country. Bakhtiari raps in Persian . He claims to have been heavily influenced in his youth by an album by Tupac Shakur , which his father brought him, as well as by the old Persian literary tradition.
