The Yaylakavak Dam ( Turkish Yaylakavak Barajı ) is located northwest of Karpuzlu in the southwest Turkish province of Aydın on the course of the Kocaçay , a tributary of the Çine Çayı .
The Yaylakavak dam was built in 1991–1997 as a rock embankment dam with a clay core . It is operated by the state water authority DSİ and serves to irrigate an area of 2322 ha. The dam is 71 m high and has a volume of 5.27 million m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of one square kilometer and has a storage volume of 31.4 million m³.
