The Yenice Dam ( Turkish Yenice Barajı ) is located 60 km west of Nallıhan in the Turkish provinces of Ankara and Eskişehir on the central reaches of the Sakarya .
The Yenice dam was built in 1985-2000 for the purpose of generating energy as a debris dam . The dam is 33.1 m high (above the valley floor) and has a wall volume of 1.798 million m³. The associated reservoir covers an area of 3.64 km² and has a storage volume of 57.6 million m³. At the upper end of the approximately 15 km long reservoir is the Gökçekaya Dam . The Yenice Dam hydropower plant has an installed capacity of 38 megawatts . The standard energy capacity is 122 GWh.
