Yesnaby is an area to the west of the Orkney Island of Mainland in the parish of Sandwick .

Yesnaby is best known for its meter-high cliffs of old-red sandstone , surf piers , blowholes and geos (crevices in cliffs washed by the sea). The best-known pillar of the surf is Yesnaby Castle , also known as the small version of the Old Man of Hoy . The sandstone comes from the Devonian . Yesnaby is one of the few places where the Primula scotica (Scottish primrose) is found.

The place is a popular tourist destination. The striking coastline is easily accessible via Yesnaby Road.
