Ying-Yang is a fountain sculpture by the German sculptor Otto Wesendonck in the sculpture garden Tucherpark in Munich district of Schwabing . The bronze fountain was erected in 1985 and financed by the former HypoVereinsbank, now Unicredit . The fountain consists of two silver-colored halves of the moon with a profile, reminiscent of the symbol for Yin and Yang , which face each other, both have a brass eye in the middle. A water mechanism sets the two moons in motion: "The left shovel pours out and rocks the moon in the opposite direction".
The work of art is on a bowl. The water flows out of the bowl and is caught in a basin.
