Yongkang (Jinhua)

Yongkang ( Chinese 永康市 , Pinyin Yǒngkāng Shì ) is an independent city that belongs to the administrative area of the independent city of Jinhua in the Chinese province of Zhejiang . It is located about 300 kilometers southwest of Shanghai and covers an area of 1,049 km².
It has about 536,000 inhabitants and is one of the 100 (of 374) economically strongest independent cities in China. It is particularly known as the "home" for metal goods and has developed into an important business location.
