The York Hoard ( English York Hoard ) is a Neolithic depot find of flint objects , which is in the Yorkshire Museum. It is not to be confused with the Vale of York Hoard or Harrogate depot find , which is a coin find from the Viking Age .

The depot with over 70 Neolithic flint tools and weapons was found in York in 1868 . Tool making from flint is a complicated process. The objects are around 5000 years old. They are evidence of the Stone Age settlement of Yorkshire.

This so far only real Stone Age hoard on the British main island does not correspond to continental deposit finds from this time, which, like the Irish Malone Hoard , primarily contain hatchets or larger amounts of amber .
