Yoshimi Kondo

Yoshimi Kondō ( Japanese 近藤 芳 美 , Kondō Yoshimi ; born May 5, 1913 in Korea , † June 21, 2006 in Tokyo , Japan ) was a Japanese poet.

Kondō was one of the most important Japanese poets of the post-war period. He published his verses in short poems of the more than 1,300-year-old rhymeless poem form Tanka . Kondō was also president of the Association of Tanka Poets, the Mirai Tankakai .
