Young Dirty Bastard

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Young Dirty Bastard (born in Brooklyn , New York City , real name Barson Unique Jones ) is an American rapper . He is the eldest son of Ol 'Dirty Bastard , who was also a rapper, and the great cousin of RZA , one of the founding members of the Wu-Tang clan .

biography

Inspired by his father, YDB started writing texts at the age of nine and showed them to his father. However, his father put it down unread and told him to do something else with his life.

He released his first mixtape in 2011. The cover is similar to the cover of Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version , his father's debut album. In 2013 he was on the sixth studio album of the Wu Tang clan, which is entitled A Better Tomorrow , on the song Ruckus in B Minor , but there he does not appear as a rapper, but only imitates his father, his voice resembles him.

In reference to A Better Tomorrow , he gave his second mixtape, released on January 1, 2015, the title A Dirty Tomorrow (The Legacy Lives On) . He was able to increase his profile in Germany through a feature with Eko Fresh . This song is called Fast Life and can be heard on a bonus version of Eko's tenth studio album König von Deutschland , and a video was also made for it.

His father's legacy

Although Ol 'Dirty Bastard is his father and RZA is his cousin, Young Dirty Bastard is only part of the Wu-Tang clan and is not a permanent member. He doesn't mind that people know him primarily through his father and also measure him by his talent. He himself said: "Sooner or later people will check that I also make good music."

The escapades and the sometimes dissolute lifestyle of his father are taboo for him. “I'm actually doing exactly the opposite of what he was doing. I don't smoke, I don't drink and I've also learned how to have fewer children than him, ” he announced.
