Young Vivian

Mititaigimimene Young Vivian (* 1935 ) was Prime Minister of the Pacific State of Niue from May 1, 2002 to June 18, 2008 . He took this office after his party, the Niue People's Party (NPP) won the general election on April 21, 2002. In the election, 14 of the MPs voted for him, his independent opponent Hunukitama Hunuki received only six votes.

Vivian already held this post provisionally from December 12, 1992 to March 9, 1993 after the death of Prime Minister Robert Rex .

During his political career, Vivian was Secretary General of the Pacific Community for three years from 1979 to 1982 .

His successor as prime minister is Toke Talagi .
