Dalton Tagelagi (born June 5, 1968 in Alofi ) is a politician and has been Prime Minister of Niue since June 11, 2020 . Since there are no political parties on Niue, Tagelagi is “non-party”.

Tagelagi is the son of Niue Sam Pata Emani Tagelagi's former chairman of parliament . Tagelagi was elected to parliament for the first time in 2008 and was re-elected as a member of the southern part of Alofi in 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2020.

Between 2017 and 2020 he was Minister for Environment and Resources, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Tagelagi took part as a bowl player at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games .

In the internal parliamentary election for Prime Minister Tagelagi prevailed with 13 to 7 votes against the MP O'Love Jacobsen.
