Yuchanyan

Yuchanyan ( Chinese  玉蟾 岩 遗址 , Pinyin Yùchányán yízhǐ , English Yuchanyan Site  - "Yuchanyan site") is a Paleolithic and Neolithic site in the Shouyan community of Dao County of Yongzhou in the Chinese province of Hunan . It is dated around 10,000 years ago and was excavated in 1993. The discoveries provide important information about rice cultivation and early pottery .

The Yuchanyan site has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (5-91) since 2001 .
