Yunka languages
In the family of the Yunka languages (also: Yunca or Yunga , name after the Yunga high altitude zone ) some extinct languages of South America are summarized, e.g. B .:
- Muchik (Mochica, this also includes the Quingnam of the Chimú ): Northern Peru (coast)
- Kañari : Ecuador
- Puruhá : Ecuador
Of these, the Muchik is the only more fully documented language. It also died out as the last Yunka language, namely in the middle of the 20th century.
