Yvonne Büdenhölzer

Yvonne Büdenhölzer (* 1977 near Cologne ) is a German dramaturge and theater worker.

Life

Büdenhölzer studied German and pedagogy in Bonn. Then she worked as a dramaturge at various theaters and in the independent scene. From 2005 to 2011 she headed the Stückemarkt at the Theatertreffen of the Berliner Festspiele. In the 2009/10 season she was curator and festival manager of the theater biennale New Plays from Europe in Wiesbaden and Mainz.

From 2005 to 2011 she also worked as a lecturer for the Applied Literary Studies course at the Free University of Berlin. From 2012 to 2013 she was a member of the Council for the Arts .

She has been the director of the Berlin Theatertreffen since 2012 .

In 2020 she received the Berlin Women's Prize for her commitment to equal opportunities at the theater.
