Yvonne Betz

Yvonne Betz (* 1976 ) is a German pop singer .

Life

Betz sang in the school choir while she was still at school and discovered more and more her love for music. She took guitar lessons and from 1996 to 2000 she received classical singing lessons from Wolfram Blank.

After graduating from high school, she studied sociology and education at the University of Mannheim . In addition to her studies, she continued to do a lot of music, especially as a leisure activity.

In 1997, at the suggestion of an old school friend, she took part in a casting project in which singers from the region, together with a band and a small orchestra, were supposed to present and interpret the most beautiful melodies from well-known musicals. Betz is accepted and thus joined a motley group of artists, among whom was Xavier Naidoo . With his participation, she impressed with pieces from the musicals Chess and Les Misérables and in the same year received an engagement in a Mannheim implementation of the small horror shop .

In 1998 she became a member of the People ensemble and in January 1999 of Dehoff & Friends . Naidoo also wanted to work with her musically, but she decided to continue her studies for the time being, which she successfully completed in spring 2002.

In autumn 2000 she presented herself to the public with her first single No way around it - the title also became the title song of the movie Dolphin . In 2002 she accompanied Xavier Naidoo as a background singer on his tour and was given the opportunity to sing a duet with him in his program.

In spring 2004 Betz's first album Ich ruf nach Dir was released ; in April 2006 their second album Wunderbar .
