Zöller (legal comment)

The Zöller is a commentary on the German Code of Civil Procedure (ZPO) named after Richard Zöller (1905–1961 ). The 32nd edition of the work, published in 2018, is considered a classic of the ZPO commentaries. The comment is published by Verlag Dr. Otto Schmidt .

history

In 1938 Richard Zöller became co-editor of the 4th edition of his 1910 manual on the code of civil procedure ( Zöller ) alongside the treasurer and judicial officer Hans Meyer . After the war, the work edited by Meyer and himself appeared for the first time in 1948 as a commentary. Since the 7th edition of 1954, the commentary on the Code of Civil Procedure, but also on the Courts Constitution Act and ancillary laws, has only been called Zöller . Since the 7th edition, the commentary has appeared as the work of several authors, Zöller himself was the editor and author of the work. The last edition published by Richard Zöller himself is the 9th edition.
