Zandershöfe is a locality in the mountainous city ​​of Wuppertal in the district of Ronsdorf .

The location is in the residential area of Ronsdorf-Mitte / Nord at an altitude of about 275  m above sea level. NHN on the street of the same name, Zandershöfe . The location is no longer perceptible as an independent residential area and is now part of the closed residential and commercial development in the center of Ronsdorf.

Etymology and history

The eponymous courtyard was one of the four courtyards that formed the core of what would later become the town of Ronsdorf. It was named after an owner, Zander .

The original courtyard buildings were demolished in the second half of the 19th century. At the end of the 19th century, the branch of the Ronsdorf-Müngstener Railway to the Ronsdorf State Railway Station was laid in the original courtyard area and the Ronsdorf District Court was established in 1896 .
