Zanella is an Argentine manufacturer of mopeds , motorcycles , scooters and quads from 100, 125 up to 200 cm³ displacement.
history
The company was founded in 1948 by Juan Zanella and is based in Buenos Aires . The original two-stroke engines were developed by Fabio Taglioni and built under license from the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ceccato .
Zanella employed around 1,000 workers and had a production capacity of 12,000 vehicles per month. Important export markets for Zanella included a. Brazil , Chile , Cuba , Uruguay , and some African countries .
From 1990 to 1999 Zanella worked closely with Yamaha in a joint venture . Zanella has been selling and manufacturing products from the Italian company Minarelli since 2000 .
In 2017, Zanella had a market share of 20 percent in Argentina.
