The Zangser Kangri (also Zangser Kangri I ) is a 6540 m high mountain in the north of the Tibetan plateau and is the highest mountain of the central Changthang .

On July 6, 1997, the two Germans Frank Kauper and Stefan Simmerer managed the first ascent of the Zangser Kangri over the southeast ridge.
